  • Over 3.6 million COVID-19 cases and over

250,000 deaths have been reported worldwide. As of May 4th , 2020:

  • 19,097 cases of this illness confirmed in

Ontario, including 1446 deaths

  • 423 cases confirmed in the Middlesex-London

region, including 40 deaths.

Provincial Update

  • COVID-19 Provincial Testing Guidance Update
  • This document now includes information about:
  • Transferring a patient from the hospital to long-term care homes (pg. 3)
  • Guidance for testing newborns (pg. 8 & 9)
  • Conjunctivitis added as an atypical symptom
  • Other underlying reasons for patients presenting with only a runny nose,

sneezing or congestion, such as seasonal allergies and post-nasal drip.

  • Testing considerations for cancer patients (appendix B) and hemodialysis

patients (appendix C)
