As of May 5th , 2020:
- Over 3.6 million COVID-19 cases and over
250,000 deaths have been reported worldwide. As of May 4th , 2020:
- 19,097 cases of this illness confirmed in
Ontario, including 1446 deaths
- 423 cases confirmed in the Middlesex-London
region, including 40 deaths.

- COVID-19 Provincial Testing Guidance Update
- This document now includes information about:
- Transferring a patient from the hospital to long-term care homes (pg. 3)
- Guidance for testing newborns (pg. 8 & 9)
- Conjunctivitis added as an atypical symptom
- Other underlying reasons for patients presenting with only a runny nose,
sneezing or congestion, such as seasonal allergies and post-nasal drip.
- Testing considerations for cancer patients (appendix B) and hemodialysis
patients (appendix C)
