Responses to Bid/Offer Report

Based on market participant feedback, IESO will create a new Bid/Offer report as one deliverable of the project.

• Frequency of Report - Daily
• Location of Report – Private Report Site
• Content of Report - Final Valid Bid/Offer
• Retention Period – 90 Days
• Format of Report – XML file which aligns with the XSD schema

defined in the MIM web services

Responses to Web Services

• OPG: When querying bid/offer status we can get all data (OPER_RESV,

Bilateral, RTEM, Schedule) in one request. Is there equivalent function through the web services interface? IESO Response: The MIM Web Services will provide a query operation for each type

• f data (i.e. RTEM, Schedule, Operating Reserve, Bilateral and DGD).
• Brady Energy: While the WSDL seems to contain all the necessary fields

that are currently in use in the MIM API, we discovered some technical issues when trying to use it in a Microsoft .NET 4 development environment. IESO Response: IESO will change the MIM Web Services design to resolve the identified technical issues. The responses are published on the IESO web site http://www.ieso.ca/Pages/Participate/Stakeholder-Engagement/SE-118.aspx

Web Services Changes

• Changes to resolve the issue with .NET4 platform by:

Distinguishing the faults for partially rejected submissions and completely rejected submissions.

• Changes to improve on the design by:

1. Extracting the HOURLY complex type from each of the submission operation as a separate HOURLY type, to avoid generating unconventional names; 2. Adding faults for query operations, to identify errors in the request sent to MIM Web Services.
