1. Access to the IESO Sandbox Environment

  • Applicant Representative were required to verify their own

access/credentials to the Online IESO Sandbox environment in

  • rder to assign access to the EMI for others in their organization.
  • With some users being new to the IESO Sandbox environment,

registration of a new account takes a few days.

  • Password resets were required in some cases
  • Sandbox environment availability, intermittent at times

  • 2. EMI rejects RTEM submission when enter a value for Speed No

Load (SNL) and Start Up Cost (SUC) fields for Non-quick start and Pseudo generators.

  • This issue impacts both MIM Web Services and EMI, but not IDK
  • Status: Open

  • Next Step: Software patch to be scheduled

  • 3. The Opres Ramp Rate field in RTEM Screen has 0 as its default

value, without either removing the ‘0’ value from the field or change the value to a positive number, the EMI will generate an ‘Unknown’ error.

  • Status: Open
  • Assessed Priority: Low
  • Workaround: Keep the field blank (if it is blank, the MIM system

will use the value specified in registration data) or enter a value greater than 0;

  • Next Step: Software patch to be scheduled

  • The IESO will support the EMI in IE 11.0 Browser
  • Status: Closed

a change from the current MPI user interface)

  • Status: Open
  • Assessed Priority: Medium
  • Workaround: Participants can use IDK to upload/download CSV

files until it is decommissioned approx 12 months after the system go live date of July 13, 2016. Alternatively, participants can use EMI to retrieve and update their data manually.

  • Next Step: Please contact the IESO if it is not a viable solution for

you and one to one support will be provided.

What you need to know:

1. New private reports published every day ~ 6:00 EST on the IESO report site for the previous day’s final bid/offer data. This is used by the IESO real time dispatch tool; the report is in XML format.

Next Steps – Dry Run (June)

Objective: To verify the access to the EMI and IDK Web Services What to expect: IESO to notify the start of the dry-run;

  • 1. Participants must test their Portal account access to the EMI in

Production;

  • 2. Participants must test their API account access to the new MIM API

using: 1) A new URL (tentatively apis.ieso.ca) ; 2) New API passwords may be required and will be communicated by the IESO directly to the API user group.

  • 3. Participants are asked to report test results to the IESO at

engagement@ieso.ca

Tentatively scheduled for the last week of June What to expect:

  • 1. IESO to notify registration of the training;
  • 2. Participants to register the training with the IESO;
  • 3. IESO to notify participants details of the training (e.g. Date,

Time, Format etc.)

System Go Live

What you need to know:

  • 1. Outage required for system cut-over;
  • 2. Reports will be manually published;
  • 3. Administrative pricing may be required;
  • 4. Existing MPI user interface will be replaced by EMI;
  • 5. Participants need to change their software to use the

URL and the API password tested during Dry-Run to use MIM IDK;

  • 6. MIM Web Services will be in service;
  • 7. Decommissioning the MIM IDK 12 months after;
