The Dark matter puzzle: just 5% of the universe shines. The key to start understanding the non-shining part could be underground:
But the most important key is the coalescence of a large community into a single effort.

The Liquid Argon community has recently coalesced into a Global Argon Dark Matter Collaboration, with the goal of constructing and operating a 300 tonne argon detector allowing a kilotonne-year exposure for a dark matter search Taking data @ LNGS, SNOLAB Approved by NFS, INFN, LNGS-SC LAr – 300 t Time ~ 215 M$ Need for a reliable control

Where we are ?
we should be ready to manage events requiring prompt program re-organization; Need for a detailed project monitoring; Efficient tracking of the progress of any sub-project; Need to handle a WBS including cross relations between costs, man power, deliverables, facilities, responsibilities, etc.; Microsoft Excel interface appreciated; Deliverable-oriented tools look attractive and probably adequate. We believe APT-EVM, used to manage the LHC machine project could be a very good candidate Project Control System
In 1931 a huge project was managed and successfully finalized in just 14 months using pen and paper, but smart Project Management tools may help anyway
