This program…impacted my education in ways that I never could have anticipated before coming to UBC as a transfer student. This is a huge reason that I'm sending you this e-mail from my new office at Global Affairs Canada (formerly DFATD) in Ottawa…I've come into my new job with real world experience and in depth understanding of the issues because of the valuable field work we got to do in the program.”

  16. Student Testimonials  “The tour and more specifically the internship allowed me to start my professional life - I got a job upon my return related to migrants' rights (in link with my internship tasks), and that job was a fruitful starting point for all my following experiences in Montreal.”  “The EUST&IP definitely acted as a trigger for my career in Europe. My first participation in 2010 led to a second internship at the Canadian Mission to the EU in early 2011. These experiences…gave enough credibility to my CV to get my first communications position in Brussels. I would not have had my first opportunity here [in Brussels] if it wasn't for the Study Tour.”  “The EUST&IP gave me the necessary tools and experience to succeed professionally in public policy. It also gave me my first exposure to health policy, an area I previously knew nothing about, but an area in which I work now.”
