Weather in Spain

  • Madrid

Spring is the most pleasant time of the year. Long days are generally warm and nights cool. Average Temperatures: March 15° Celsius - April 19° Celsius.

  • Valencia

Mainly Mediterranean climate - warm and dry. Average Temperatures: March 13° Celsius - April 14° Celsius.

  • Barcelona A warm, welcoming climate and pleasant all year.

Average Temperatures: March 14° Celsius - April 16° Celsius.

– Travel & Sport is a well-established organisation. – Over 15 years of experience in school and youth group travel. – They manage sports, academic & cultural tours for incoming and outgoing tours. – Leon Hattingh representing Travel & Sports tonight. – Travel & Sport will be managing the tour logistics (flights, visas, insurance and overall tour management).

  • Sports in Spain

– Spanish Tour Operator who will manage tour from time of arrival in Spain to departure. – Sander van der Weide is the founder and CEO. – Sander has represented the Dutch National Hockey Team 275 times and played in three Olympic Games (Sydney, Athens and Beijing). – A representative from Sports in Spain will be with the tour party at all times. – Training by Olympic hockey players.

Travel Documents

– A valid Passport. – If you do NOT have a passport, please apply NOW – The Home Office in Plett is an easy option. – If you have a foreign passport, you will also need a valid South African passport OR a valid Residency Permit to re- enter South Africa. – Passport must be valid until at least 1 August 2012. – Written consent from both parents and/or Guardian.

Schengen Visa Requirements

– EU, UK, Australia, Austria, Canada, Croatia, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, United States & a few other countries do NOT require a Schengen Visa. – South African passport holders DO require a Schengen Visa.

  • Cost is currently R592 plus visa service fees.
  • List of requirements will be emailed.
  • Two important documents which are needed are:

– UNABRIDGED birth certificate.

– Letters of consent from both parents.

– Participation in any Fundraising events. – Attend Pe-Tour Hockey Training Sessions. – Learn about Spain, their culture & a few Spanish words. – Appreciate the great opportunity to go on Tour. – Thank and help your parents or donors for this experience.

– Timeous payment of tour funds. – Timeous submission of documents needed to tour – passports, visa documents, medical info, indemnities etc. – Support for the tour.
