The students swim in full clothes for 3-5 minutes, criss-cross through each other, then assume the HELP posture using a choice of various types of equipment and then switching from one piece of equipment to another by turning around by treading water and picking something new.

Falling in the water, swimming on the belly to a boat/mat, climbing in/on the boat/mat, falling off/out backwards, treading water with a full turn, swimming to the side of the pool on the back and climbing out of the pool.

Jumping into the water, swimming under water and then retrieving an object(s) from the bottom of the pool (if the bottom is too deep, the object(s) can be made to float), and then coming to the surface and swimming on the back with the object(s).
