School Reference – UCAS Tutor
School References
Students will need to register on
UCAS – Apply online via the school.
The School will provide the UCAS
reference
Each subject teacher and Form
Tutor will write a subject reference which is included in the overall school ref.
The overall school reference will be
written by the UCAS tutor.
UCAS Tutor - Support
There are over 25 UCAS tutors who will
write overall UCAS references.
Support will be given in writing the
Personal Statement and all other aspects
- f the UCAS application
Each tutor is given a number of
references they are to write (normally 5).
All references are double checked
before being authorised and sent off to UCAS.
Students have the opportunity on Friday to
approach selected members of staff to be their UCAS Tutor.
Only those members of staff identified can
write references.
If a member of staff has already been
allocated their references then the student must approach someone else.
Any student without a UCAS tutor will be
allocated one in September
The student is then responsible for updating
and working with their UCAS tutor to apply for University.
