YEAR 1 IN REVIEW HealthCare Access Maryland (HCAM) October 1 thru June 15 Online enrollments: 11,560 MA enrollments: 7,592 QHP: 3,898 QDP: 590 Paper applications: 3,621 Appoints scheduled: 6,059 Call center calls: 14,090 NOTE: HCAM did not start breaking down number of online enrollments between QHP and MA until November, so the number of online enrollments 7 does not equal the combination of QHP and MA

YEAR 1 IN REVIEW GETTING THE MESSAGE OUT Many heard about Connectors through word-of-mouth Libraries worked better than pharmacies Enrollment events very well attended Learned a lot about places to distribute flyers/ how to get on community events calendars/ work w media Weekend events were very busy Large posters and take-away cards were used to pre- educate consumers on documents needed, income cutoffs, metal level/ premium ranges “Store front” locations worked well 9

CONNECTOR ENTITIES IN YEAR 2  Capital: changing staffing model, giving Prince George’s County greater role; increasing use of enrollment labs  Central: centralizing staffing, expanding storefronts, focusing on hard to reach  Lower Shore: expanding CRM, focusing on rural hard to reach  Southern: centralizing staff, intensifying local marketing strategy  Upper Shore: adjusting partner staffing, focusing on non-health care sites for outreach  Western: placing greater emphasis on QHP and reaching rural population 12
