– Very important in decision making. – Can be time consuming when it comes to getting everyone together. – Can delay decision making.

– Enables the person to have an identity in their community. – Leads to positive risk taking. – More relaxed approach from supporters. – Could be a good way for the person to build on their skills.

  • Person Centred Plan.

– Sometimes people can plan according to what they feel is the right thing to do.

  • Advocacy.

– Good impartial review of whether the service delivered is Individualised. – Questions the service provided which enables us to assess whether it works for the person. – Good relationship with advocates enables informed decision e.g. reducing support.

  • Celebrate the good things before moving on to the next
