The Trulife Elite Foam Positioners range is designed to promote optimal positioning of the patient in the intensive care unit and during surgery. This lightweight range is designed for multi-purpose use, whilst offering stability and comfort. The Elite Foam Positioners offer a wide variety of products including the ARDS Prone Pad System ELP200. ARDS is Acute respiratory distress syndrome and is a type of respiratory failure characterized by the rapid onset of widespread inflammation in the lungs. The ARDS Prone Pad System helps encourage respiratory function and accommodates the body’s anatomical conformities.

Materials

  • Fabric Material: The fabric material incorporated into the ARDS

positioning system is a 3 way stretch material. This means the material is extremely durable and strong allowing the product to be reused a variety of times before fatigue.

  • Foam Core: The core of each positioning pad is made from two

differing foam materials. The top layer is made from soft visco foam; this allows comfort and encourages good positioning in the ICU. The second layer is made from denser visco foam; this is to create structure and to ensure the product does not collapse upon patient weight during patient placement.

  • Adjustability: The system itself is made into 5 different

pieces, the reason for this is to allow adjustability for a variety of patient sizes and it also creates airflow, cooling the patient for long periods of positioning time.

  • Ultra-sonically sealed: The fabric is ultra-sonically

sealed (PU welded) this means the product has no perforated holes so no liquids or other materials can get into the product.

The Prone Headrest Pad ELP141 is constructed from soft foam to support the facial features whilst allowing ease of access for mechanical requirements if necessary. The prone headrest is designed for single use only - eliminating any concerns of cross contamination.
