Background

  • During the 2017-18 school year over 3,000 MPS

enrolled students experienced homelessness

  • Student homelessness is linked to poverty and is

heavily concentrated in a few schools and neighborhoods

  • Research by the University of MN has shown that

homelessness impacts academic outcomes
