WHAT IS ZOAT?

Long tradition

• ZOAT stands for Zuid Oost Azië Tournooi and is an annual event bringing

together Dutch Professionals living and working in Asia to compete in a friendly atmosphere;

• 2019 marks the 47th edition of the ZOAT Tournament Established 1907 with

the current format since 1972;

• 500 to 600 participants from the SEA Region, 90% are Dutch nationals

Organization rotates between Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok;

• ZOAT receives coverages in Asian and Dutch media.

On 1,2 and 3 November 2019 in the center of Asia’s World City Hong Kong in Happy Valley on 3 water-based Astroturf pitches.

Community

During the 3-day tournament funds will be raised for a local Hong Kong Charity.

Sustainability

Create awareness about our impact on the environment through a carbons off set program to make this ZOAT carbon neutral and a range of other sustainability initiatives.

ZOAT tournaments are connected to a charitable cause in the organizing country – usually supported by former Dutch national team players, like Olympic gold medalist Floris Jan Bovelander and Fleur van de Kieft. The traditional All-Stars match, whereby the best tournament players play against the local national team, will be one of the initiatives to raise money to support the local charity.

Friends of ZOAT Event Sponsor - Kids Club Be the one main sponsor of the Kids Club. Besides the communication outside the Kids Club you will get full visibility in the Kids Club with banners, fl ags and posters. Your company logo will also be placed on the clothing that will be handed out to staff and kids. Friends of ZOAT Event Sponsor - Saturday Night Party Be the one main sponsor of the Saturday Night Party. Besides the communication outside the party you will receive major exposure during the party with banners, fl ags and posters. Other communication possibilities can be discussed. Friends of ZOAT Event Sponsor - Transportation All participants joining the tournament will have to be transported to and from hotel, consul’s residency, the golf course, hockey fi eld and the party.
