iPad Agreement - Key points

○ Filtering ○ Apps in the App Catalog ○ Proper care of the iPad and accessories:

  • Any damage, loss, or theft must be reported immediately to the

school.

  • Accessories must be returned.

○ First accidental damage or documented theft will be equally shared. ○ Prices may vary; the current cost for a repair in this situation ranges from $35 to $68 (50% of the repair cost) or, in the case of replacement, $150 (50% of the cost to buy a new device).

iPad Agreement - Key points continued...

○ The repair/replacement cost of purposeful or repeated damage, loss

  • r undocumented theft will be completely borne by the individual.

○ Repair costs range from $69 to $115 (100% of our repair cost) or, in the case of replacement, $299 (100% of our cost to buy a new device). ○ A spare iPad, if available, will be loaned only after repair payment is received.

iPad Maintenance

  • Students are constantly reminded to “take good care of your iPad

and your iPad will take good care of you.”

  • Keep it in the protective case; less

rugged cases are not acceptable.

  • Only use MFI-certified charging

accessories.

  • Update the iOS regularly.
  • Manage the iPad’s storage.

Be careful with the iPad!

Managing Screen Time

  • Just as SMS prioritizes screen time for learning,

parents/guardians are encouraged to do the same at home: ○ Prioritize screen time for HW. ○ Limit screen time for recreation (i.e. video games) and socialization (i.e social media and chatting).

  • The App Store is disabled and students only have

access to school-approved apps via the App Catalog.

  • Monitor your child’s browsing history.
