  1. Sleep Disorders Oral Presentation Project 1. Choose a topic to research: You must report your topic to me – to make sure there are no repeats!!! Partners may work together.  Insomnia  Parasomnias (Night Terrors, Sleepwalking, Nightmares)  Sleep Apnea  Narcolepsy  Movement Disorders 2. Research the psychological definition, testing methods, causes, and treatments  Start with your textbook  Use encyclopedias and psychological journals  Find books specifically dedicated to your research topic  Careful of on-line information – it may not be valid! 3. Prepare an oral report on your topic:  Introduction – Define psychological terms and explain purpose of the presentation  Body: Section 1 – Explain/ describe methods used to test your topic

If possible, include who developed these theories and how they were discovered.  Body: Section 3 – Explain treatments for the disorder  Body: Section 4 - Summarize any recent findings or studies that are currently being conducted.  Conclusion – Summarize major findings in your paper, briefly evaluate the work being done surrounding your topic, note any future pathways. 4. Prepare an oral presentation with a visual aid (poster, brochure, fact page, web page, blog, PowerPoint) to present to the class. 5. DUE DATE: December 13 th
