Sleep Disorders Oral Presentation Project 1. Choose a topic to research: You must report your topic to me – to make sure there are no repeats!!! Partners may work together. Insomnia Parasomnias (Night Terrors, Sleepwalking, Nightmares) Sleep Apnea Narcolepsy Movement Disorders 2. Research the psychological definition, testing methods, causes, and treatments Start with your textbook Use encyclopedias and psychological journals Find books specifically dedicated to your research topic Careful of on-line information – it may not be valid! 3. Prepare an oral report on your topic: Introduction – Define psychological terms and explain purpose of the presentation Body: Section 1 – Explain/ describe methods used to test your topic

Body: Section 3 – Explain treatments for the disorder Body: Section 4 - Summarize any recent findings or studies that are currently being conducted. Conclusion – Summarize major findings in your paper, briefly evaluate the work being done surrounding your topic, note any future pathways. 4.
