PSD2 impact Introduction of PSD2 does NOT affect transactions under E-Money Licence • E-Money transactions are outside digital services and content exemption of PSD1 & exclusion of PSD2 from 13 th January 2018 • No requirement to register merchant or services for exclusion with FCA • Tola Mobile is already the licensed intermediary (Payment Acquirer) within the Payments value-chain • Separate licensed entity with the MNO holding the Billing relationship • E-Money transactions are outside of the spending limits imposed on MNOs under exclusion • For UK limit set at £40/transaction & £240/month for all services offered under the Network’s exclusion of PSD2 • Mandates 2-factor authentication on purchases • Limits acquisition of Billing identifier during payment process
