M E M T E O T R O P R M P E T O SiloRe@der R P M E M T E O T R O P R M P E A few words about SiloRe@der T O R P M M E M E M T E T E O T T O R O R O P ❑ SiloRe@der is a bolt on weighing system that gives an accurate weight R P R P M P E indication of the silo content, and not just an indication for full or empty T O R based on a level measurement. P M M E M E M T E T E O T T O R ❑ O SiloRe@der measures the actual weight of the silo and its contents in kg R O P R P R P M P E T It uses load cell technology sensors attached to the silo legs, reducing O  R P M drastically the installation time without needing to lift the silo or make any E M M T E E O T T changes on the silo legs. R O O P R R P M P E T SiloRe@der costs the same or a little more than a high - end level sensor  O R M P M such as sonars or capacitive ropes , without the disadvantages of these E E M T M T E O E O systems. T R T R O P O P R R P M P E SiloRe@der can be successfully installed to almost any silo supported by T  O R legs. Silo contents can be: cement, sand, aggregates, flour, grain like corn, M P M E E M T T rice, wheat, barley, oats, minerals, coal, chemicals, plastics, liquids or E O O T R R O P P R liquefied gases. R O P R P R P M P E T ❑ O PROTEM’s CTZ - 52 Smart Weight Indicator is the ideal way to display R P M M SiloRe@der’s weight. E M E M T E T E O T T O R O R O P R P R ❑ In case a more weighing accuracy is required then the silo should be P M P E T supported on load cells that lie in specialized bases. PROTEM can fully O R P M support such a solution. E M M T E E O T T R O O P ❑ For level control of liquids inside uniform tanks we propose pressure R R P M P E sensors instead of SiloRe@der. T O R M P M E E ❑ An experienced technician can easily install SiloRe@der on his own, M T M T E O E O T R T R following the instructions included with the system. It can also be used on any T O R vessel supported by legs or a steel frame. P M M E M E M T E T E O T T O R ❑ O SiloRe@der can be easily fixed to any “H” R O P R P R P M P beam legs with best accuracy results. It E T O R can be also used successfully on P M E M M T rectangular tube legs, round shaped and E E O T T R O O P “L” section silo legs, provided that the R R P M P E sensor can be bolted on properly, and that T O R the stress level at this location is within M P M E E M T M T required levels. E O E O T R T R O P O P R R P M P ❑ It is difficult to use SiloRe@der in vessels E T O with multiple compartments when a R M P M E E M T separate weighing information is required T E O O T R R O P P for each compartment. 5. M E M T E O T R O P R M P E T O SiloRe@der R P M E M T E O T R O P R M P E T Operation principle O R P M M E M E M T E T E O T T O R O R O P R ❑ Each SiloRe@der sensor is basically a load cell P R P M P E T that, instead of measuring force, is bolted onto O R P M a surface where it measures the expansion or M E M E M T E T E O compression of the surface. T T O R O R O P R P R P M P E ❑ Onto the metal plate of the sensor, four thin T O R foil strain gauges are bonded and connected P M E M M T in a full Wheatstone Bridge arrangement. E E O T T R O O P R R P M P ❑ They operate on the principle that as the foil E T O is stretched or compressed, the resistance of R M P M E E M T the foil changes in a defined way. M T E O E O T R T R O P O P R R P ❑ The resistance value is measured and M P E T O converted in equivalent kilos by a weighing R M P M E E indicator. O R P M M E M E M T ❑ The force is always parallel to the axis of the E T E O T T O R O R O P leg, not vertical, unless the leg is also vertical. R P R P M P E T O ❑ The centerline of all symmetrical legs is the R P M E Neutral Axis. SiloRe@der sensors should M M T E E O T T R always be mounted along this axis with a O O P R R P M P maximum deviation of ±3 mm. E T O R M P M ❑ Locate sensors where lateral bending forces E E M T M T E O E O T are at a minimum. M E M E M T E T E O The sensors need to be mounted on a flat surface. T T O R O R O P R P R P M P E ❑ Draw a vertical line at the center of the leg and T O R align the holes of the drill template with the line. P M E M M T Punch two marks through the two holes and drill E E O T T R O O P gradually until the final diameter is reached . R R P M P E T O ❑ If nuts cannot be used to secure the sensor, make R M P M E E M T a thread to the opened holes and use screws to M T E O E O T R T R O P secure the sensors. O P R R P M P E T ❑ O Screw the sensors onto the legs using safety nuts R M P M E E or bolts and connect their cables to the junction M T T E O O T R R box.
