Sendmail

Question: Can tenet effectively support anonymous FTP as a supplement for file- server@tenet? Issues: Security System load ✔ Idea: Find out how much load is being caused by file-server. Assumption: Workload to support anonymous FTP similar to that needed by file-server.

Sendmail

Methodology: Collect “traffic traces” from sendmail syslog entries. Preliminary results as of Sunday morning, 4 AM: We took in: 623 messages (6.0 MB) locally. 906 messages (7.0 MB) from all Tenet machines. 118 messages (5.3 MB) from file- server@tenet. 3037 messages (46.6 MB) total.
