Definitions

Gender Neutral Pronouns - Words that don't specify a

person’s gender identity. ‘They’ for instance is used as a gender neutral pronoun. ‘He’ or ‘She’ are examples of gendered pronouns.

AFAB - Assigned FEMALE at birth AMAB - Assigned MALE at birth Misgender - To refer to or address a person, with the pronoun

that does not represent the person's gender or gender identity.

Transition - The process of change that a trans or gender

diverse person undertakes in order to live in alignment with who they feel they are inside

being cisgendered and heterosexual as the normal or preferred sexual and gender orientations.
