  10. Sexuality Who you are physically, romantically or sexually attracted to. Lesbian – A woman attracted to women. Gay – A man attracted to men. Bisexual – Attraction to more than one gender. Heterosexual – A person that is attracted to someone of the opposite sex.

Gender identity How you perceive your gender, how you present this to others and how you want to be treated by others Cisgender – Gender identity matches your assigned sex at birth Transgender – Gender identity does NOT match your assigned sex at birth Non-binary – Gender identity sits outside the binary of male and female

Definitions Gender Neutral Pronouns - Words that don't specify a person’s gender identity. ‘They’ for instance is used as a gender neutral pronoun. ‘He’ or ‘She’ are examples of gendered pronouns. AFAB - Assigned FEMALE at birth AMAB - Assigned MALE at birth Misgender - To refer to or address a person, with the pronoun that does not represent the person's gender or gender identity.

  13. Definitions Birth nam e - Refer to a trans or gender diverse person by the name they were given at birth or formerly used before transition. Transition - The process of change that a trans or gender diverse person undertakes in order to live in alignment with who they feel they are inside Heteronorm ative - Relating to a world view that promotes being cisgendered and heterosexual as the normal or preferred sexual and gender orientations.
