Qualification for WC, RC, 5* & big events.

  • Old times no qualification anyone could go to World Ch. or 160km.
  • Nowadays min. 5 CEI 2* or Elite.
  • More and more difficult, where we want to have the qualification limit?.
  • Max. Number of riders and nations ”FLAGS” without taking care of the level?.
  • Less ridders but stronger qualification,

less quantity and more quality ???

  • Like in CEI 5* show jumping, G1 Horse

Racing, Olympic Games. Only the TOP can compete?.

Championship format, how many starters per team.

  • Since last 20 years, we keep changing format:

– 6 per nation, 4 in team, 2 individual. – 12 per host nation, like WEG Jerez 2002. – 5 per nation, 4 team, 1 individual. Plus 2 reserve horses. – 5 per nation, 5 team, first 4 count for team placement. Plus 2 reserve horses. – 4 per nation, 1 reserve horse. All team finishers count for team place.

  • We keep changing format for many reasons:

– advisors, – studies, – flags(nations), – maximum number starters, – IOC, – Olympics…

  • External advisors, professional media,

sport companies, they have to help us find the better format, but final decision has to be our.

  • Compromised solution to avoid changing so often.
  • Which team format is the best for us,

and not only for external advisors?

  • What endurance really want?

Championship format, how many starters per team.
