Cap & Gown: Graduation Tickets

EVERY senior gets FOUR graduation tickets when they pick up their Cap & Gown. Those who fundraised ABOVE the $100 will receive ADDITIONAL graduation tickets (DISCLAIMER: Every additional $25 in sales earns you 1 EXTRA graduation

ticket). $125 in sales earns you 1 extra graduation ticket. $150 in sales earns you 2 extra graduation tickets. $175 in sales earns you 3 extra graduation tickets. $200 in sales earns you 4 extra graduation tickets. **4 extra tickets is the MAXIMUM you can receive. Those who fundraised ABOVE the requirement can earn up to 4 EXTRA tickets. Total number of tickets that can be received are 8 TICKETS.

Cap & Gown: Online Collections (1/2)

**ONLY WAY TO GET YOUR CAP & GOWN. YOU MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING TWO STEPS:

• Pay the $25 for your Cap & Gown from January 9th - 17th through OSP.
• In order to get to OSP, you must sign in through your M-DCPS

student portal, click on Applications, Services, and Sites, scroll to find OSP application, click Secondary Schools → Coral Gables Sr. HS

• You will find fee as a class fee under the name ‘Cap and Gown’

Cap & Gown: Online Collections (2/2)

• Now, you must fill out your order form (CAN ONLY BE DONE AFTER

COMPLETING PAYMENT). You MUST fill out the Google Form that we will send through Remind/ post on CavsConnect with your ID number, name, receipt # from your online payment, and height (with heels, if it applies)

• IF YOU PAY, BUT FAIL TO COMPLETE GOOGLE FORM, YOUR CAP &

GOWN WILL NOT BE ORDERED.

Graduation: Dress Code

★ Gentlemen

○ Dark slacks ○ Light-colored, long-sleeved dress shirt ○ Neck tie ○ Dress shoes (NO SNEAKERS)

★ Ladies

○ Light-colored dress, skirt, or slacks ○ Moderate heels or flats suggested

Awards Ceremony

➔ Will be held in the Auditorium on March 31st, 2020 @ 8 AM ➔ If nominated by two teachers or more, your name is found on CavsConnect.

◆ Nominees, fill out awards application. If you don’t fill out application, your name will not move on to next round.

➔ Application is due on January 16th, 2020 to the mailbox outside rm. 9320 (Landsea’s mailbox)

Senior Brunch!

★ Requirements: MUST have adhered to 10/20 rule AND no

• utdoor/indoor suspensions

★ Brunch tickets are $30. MUST be paid in CASH WITH the field trip form (will be posted on CavsConnect) on March 19th and 20th during BOTH lunches in Activities! ★ Brunch will be held at JW Marriott by Dadeland on April 3rd, 2020 from 9 - 1 PM ★ Senior Superlatives, Year in Review, a slideshow presentation, and dance music

Prom!

Students interested in attending Prom MUST get cleared in Activities from March 2nd - 4th during BOTH lunches. IF YOU DON’T GET CLEARED, YOU CAN’T BUY A TICKET. ★ Those students cleared on the above dates MUST through OSP from March 16th - 20th ★ Prom tickets are $85 ★ Location is the JW Marriott in Brickell ★ Date of Prom is April 25th, 2020 from 8 - 11 PM ★ Prom Guest Applications will be due on February 21st and must be turned in to

• Ms. Landsea’s mailbox (9320). Form can be found on Cavsconnect!

Prom: Dress Code & Parking

Parking in Downtown Brickell is EXTREMELY limited and very expensive. We HIGHLY encourage drop-off/pick up. Valet also takes long time to retrieve everyone’s cars bc everyone leaves at the same time.

• Ladies, NO cleavage, midriff, or exposure will be tolerated. Transparent clothing too.

Sneakers will not be permitted, regardless of brand!

• Gentlemen, sneakers, regardless of their price, will NOT be permitted. Formal = complete

suit with jacket and tie. Canes, sunglasses, baseball caps are NOT permitted. EVERYONE must dress appropriately. This is a FORMAL event, so you are expected to dress

• accordingly. NO CASUAL ATTIRE. Violations to any of these conditions will deny your entry to

the prom WITHOUT a refund.

Summary of Events

★ Cap & Gown - Graduation

• Those who fundraised ABOVE the requirement can earn up to 4 EXTRA tickets. Total

number of tickets that can be received are 8 TICKETS. ★ Cap & Gown - In order to get your cap & gown, you MUST do the following:

• Pay the $25 ‘Cap & Gown’ fee through OSP within the payment window (1/9 - 1/17)
• Complete Google Form with your ID #, name, receipt # from your online payment, and height

(with heels, if it applies) ★ Award Nomination Applications are due by 1/16 to the mailbox outside rm. 9320 ★ Senior Brunch - Meet 10/20 rule, no indoor/outdoor suspensions, pay upfront $30 in Activities with field trip form COMPLETED on 3/19 & 3/20 during both lunches; Brunch is on APRIL 3rd, 2020 ★ Prom - Students MUST be cleared in Activities on 3/2, 3/3, and 3/4 to be put on OSP for payment; Payment window through OSP opens from 3/16 - 3/20; Prom is on APRIL 25th, 2020
