WHAT STUDENTS SHOULD DO TO IMPROVE ON THEIR MALAY LANGUAGE & ROLE OF PARENTS IN INSTILLING THE LOVE OF THE LANGUAGE….

 Instil a culture of speaking the language at home, at least ONE of parent

must converse to the child in Malay.

 Instil a culture of reading and a love for reading habit especially in Malay

books at home. - improve in their writing.

 Interact with your child on current affairs, especially watching the Malay

news/documentary/newspaper to heighten his/her awareness of what is happening in Singapore and the world around him/her –to learnt to speak the language confidently and effectively especially during Oral Examination.

 Watch Malay Drama / Movies to broaden their plot in writing descriptive

and narrative writing.
