  4. PRESIDENT’S REPORT It has been a great season for the Colts both on and off field. Congratulations to Darren and Brendan and the U11 ’s Premiers back to back after their success last season in the U10’s . Well done to all the players. We also had grand finalist in the U1 3’s but unfortunately they went down in the final but did their club, coach and parents proud. Of the other teams we had semi-finalists in the U16s and 2 nd grade who both bowed out a short of the big one. All these results can only be achieved by the hard work of the coaches and managers who give their time to their teams to ensure all the players have fun and develop as cricketers. A big thank you goes to all our coaches, managers and parents for supporting their teams in the right spirit that makes us the best Club. I would also like to thank our Captains a number of who were new to the role and found out that it is a tough job not just on the field but off the field as well. Off the field the committee has and continues to work hard to ensure the success of the club. Without singling out everyone I would like to make special mention of a few Belinda taking on the role of Club Secretary doing both the junior and senior parts, Marlene for her role as Treasurer keeping a tight rein of our finances, Alex for his work and support which is hugely valuable to me. It was great to see a few new faces join the committee as well this year in Tracey (Webmaster), Brendan (Sponsorship), Jake and Aayush (Committee). Well done to those players who represented PJCA this year. Congratulations to Ashley Day for representing NSW, Kobe Carroll - Green Shield, Metro Cup, and graded with Sydney Uni, Brandon Speechley - Green Shield and Metro Cup with Penrith, Justin Felsch - Green Shield, Tim Creer Cup and graded with Sydney, he also played U14 State Challenge Cup, Dylan Ferguson Metro Cup Sydney Uni and Blake Wicks U14 State Challenge Cup. It’s great to see players from our club playing at higher levels. District Awards I would like to congratulate the following players for winning District awards this season. 5. Sponsors Once again the St Marys RSL and Ex Servicemens Club was our major sponsor this year and we thank them for their continued support. 8. SEASON 2014/15 2 nd GRADE The year began with us expected to play 1st grade, so it was a nice surprise to find out we were to stay in 2nd grade due to some kicking and screaming from other sides. The competition was definitely ours to lose and confidence was never an issue. We started the year great, however our team batting efforts throughout the year lacked consistency which ultimately saw our side knocked out prematurely in the semi-finals. Again our bowlers performed fantastically throughout the year, and as a captain it is nice to have so many top fast bowlers to choose from. We remain determined to win the second grade competition in the upcoming season however everyone will have to work on consistency in their batting. Notable mentions from last sea son include Grant Bradley’s first century for the club against Cranebrook who went on to play in the final, David Dunn’s 7 wickets against our rivals St Clair Hawks, followed by a 6 wicket haul against Glenmore Park Black. 10. 3 rd GRADE This year just wasn’t our year with our only win chalked up in round 1. While we were competitive in most of our games this season, we did struggle to finish on the right side after our bright start. We have come to the realisation we are getting old. We having been together now for the last 10 years and the majority of the players are approaching or already a few years past 40. It was great having the few young guys in Brandon G, Jack, Nick and Brandon S playing fulltime this year especially having Jack & Brandon S return to the club after a couple years off. We will be back next year hopefully dropping down a grade or two cause while we may be getting older we still enjoy our game of cricket, the banter on the field and the laughs and beers after it. Thanks to the players who helped out in 3 rd game this year it was greatly appreciated.
