R - Weaves (2010)

  • R weaves program supports the artisans of Surendranagar

district, helping them in saving the dying art forms of Tangaliya and Patola.

  • Rweaves provides small loans, develop new designs and

products and organizes weaving workshops for the artisans

  • It also do marketing and Branding of the products develop by

the local artisans

Child Friendly Spaces

  • Child friendly spaces centers focus on child labourers and

provide four hours of informal education and nutrition to them.

  • Main aim behind it is to introduce the children to a formal

schooling environment as well as pull them out of child labour

  • Currently 7 CFS centers are operating on construction sites

and in slums of Ahmedabad

Child Rights for Change (2009)

  • Child rights for change programme was started with an aim to

eradicate child labour in Dholka and Viramgam blocks of Ahmedabad district of Gujarat

  • Programme has a network of 120 villages.
  • Major focus of programme is to sensitize communities in

recognizing issues of child rights violation and child labour

  • This programme works with people who are unskilled, semi

skilled labourers in any construction based work in the informal sector

  • The program aims at improving their skills, improving their

working efficiency and proficiency

  • Trained participants are linked with placements so as to get

better opportunities and better wages A total of 4 centers in Vasna, Behrampura, Meghaninagar and Usmanpura of Ahmedabad

Urban Resource Center

  • One stop solution for the urban poor.
  • Making people inhabiting slums aware of various

beneficiary services available to them by government.

  • Provide knowledge and resources to them to deal with

advocate and run campaigns related to various issues of slum dwellers.

  • Currently 4 Centers, 3 in Wards of Ahmedabad –

Juhapura, Vasna and Behrampura and 1 in Rajkot
