  6. Definitions Organic • A labeling term that refers to an agricultural product produced in accordance with the Act and the regulations in this part. Organic Production • A production system that is managed in accordance with the Act and regulations in this part to respond to site-specific conditions by integrating cultural, biological, and mechanical practices that foster cycling of resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity. National List • A list of allowed and prohibited substances as provided for in the Act.
