OVERVIEW

  • Under the Traffic Safety Section
  • Captain, Lieutenant, Sergeant, 2 Shift Supervisors, and 24

PEOs (20 positions currently filled)

  • How PEOs are deployed
  • 11 Day Shift, 5 Evening Shift, 4 Midnight Shift, weekends
  • Assigned to 3 areas of the City
  • Technology – Current: Secure handheld citation writing

devices and License Plate Recognition (LPR) readers and Planned: Possibly more LPR’s

  • By the Numbers
  • FY 2019: 78,468 parking citations issued by Parking Enforcement
  • 19,727 for misuse of meters; 2,095 for expiration of time
  • 8,895 for RPP violations

avoid confusion by the public. Consistent District and Time Zone restrictions on each side of the block or within an entire district
