All staff on 5A were assigned a room Addition of patient room signs to be laminated and hung
Introduce yourself to patient and explain that it is our goal to make their stay as pleasant an experience as possible. Let them know you will be tidying up their room and ask if there is anything they need. Eyeball the room for dirty linen, overflowing garbage cans, excess garbage (i.e. tray tables etc.) and remove, dispose of it. While in room, check to see that whiteboard is completed and appropriate. Thank patient/family for choosing our hospital and floor to provide their care. Meet with assigned nurse regarding condition of room. If whiteboard needs updated, it is the responsibility of the assigned nurse to make sure it is up to date.
