ROMHOTEL 2017 ROMHOTEL – International exhibition for equipment, furniture and supplies for hotels and restaurants is organized by Romexpo between the 16 th and 19 th of November 2017, in the C5 and C6 Pavilions. During ROMHOTEL , Romexpo’s halls are transforming in the meeting place of numerous producers, distributors and importers of specific furniture and electronic, audio-video, soft and hard equipment for welcoming structures and public alimentation units, catering units, fast-food, producers and distributors of cosmetics for hotels and restaurants, accessories for professional kitchens and for hygiene and cleaning control. The event takes place at the same period with the Romanian Tourism Fair and MODEXPO - International exhibition of textiles, ready-made clothes, leather goods, furs, footwear and leatherwear , accessories The International Food Salon Starting with the edition of 2016, ROMEXPO has updated and extended ROMHOTEL’s exhibiting thematic in order to meet its exhibitors’ needs by organizing The International Food Salon. At this new Salon dedicated to the international gastronomy field, will be invited to exhibit suppliers of equipment, gourmet ingredients, beverages (alcoholic, non-alcoholic drinks, coffee), foreign tourism authorities and embassies, restaurants with international cuisine in Bucharest and publishers of cookbooks with recipes from the international cuisine. www.romhotel.ro

  3. MARKET  In Romania, the HoReCa equipment market is in a constant evolution. It is subject to volume fluctuations, brands and concepts due to customer education and development, a process that is still ongoing. Thus, there are over 20,000 restaurants in Romania with a turnover of over 1.5 billion euros and yet we are witnessing the closure and opening of dozens of restaurants on a monthly basis. As a starting point, it is a market that offers entrepreneurial opportunities provided it adapts both to the requirements of the clients and to the new technologies.  Bucharest's restaurants and cafes market grew strongly in the last year, as consumption has gone up an upward slope. The trend is confirmed by the evolution of the number of transactions and the multitude of new concepts developed in the industry, as well as by the positive results recorded by the majority of the players.  According to Keysfin data, of the 67,719 newly established companies in the last year, most (17,525) are active in commerce, followed by services (7634 companies) and construction (7,208 firms). Among the most attractive areas of investment are transport and storage services (5,873 companies), manufacturing (4,461), hotels and restaurants (4,243) and IT & C (3,531).
