Macedon’s Jason Cooke won the 2017 Bowen Medal for best Senior player with 16 votes from runner-up and Matthews Medal winner Tierone Cuffe from the Sunbury Kangaroos with 15 votes. The Ryan Medal for best A Grade player went down to the wire with Diggers Rest’s Amy Carroll and Melton Centrals’ Rebecca Morabito tying for the medal with 21 votes ahead of Macedon’s Ciara Stewart on 18 votes.
