State Teams Shoot Rules & Conditions

The state teams will assemble at 7.30 am. Open team consists of 5 members while Ladies, Juniors and Veterans teams consist of 3 members each. At 8.00 am a draw for layouts will take place. Open teams shoot 50 targets and Ladies, Juniors & Veterans shoot 25 targets all on their drawn layouts. Teams remain at their drawn layout to support their other state teams. In the event of an absolute tie for first place at the completion of each State Teams Match, each member shall shoot an additional five (5) targets until a winner is declared. A Woman, Junior or Veteran nominated in the Open team can also represent the Women’s, Juniors or Veterans teams as well, depending on state rules. Team photos will be taken at the conclusion of the Teams matches.

When shot in Australia the top five (5) scores over the Australian National Skeet Championship will comprise the Australian Team to contest the International Glenn Trophy Competition. (Rule 7.04) Both teams will shoot two rounds of 25 targets per shooter. In the event of a tie, all members of each team shall shoot doubles on each of stations 3,4, 5, 4, 3, 4, 5 (recurring), with the scores being compared after each station. The team with the fewest “LOST” targets after any station shall be declared the winner. Shot in Australia Even years, New Zealand Odd Years. The event is shot over 50 targets

Australian Team for USA World Championships

A team of five is selected every two years (even years) at the Skeet Nationals. Glenn Trophy travelling team is chosen every odd year for New Zealand. The selection year shall run from June 1 to the completion of the Skeet Nationals the following year ie 2014/2015. It will consist of two 100 target State 12g title scores you wish to submit ie shoot four and submit your best two scores. The score sheets are to be forwarded to ASSA for recording and must be signed by the secretary of the host club. Fax to 03 9717 3213 or Email to : president@myassa.com.au. State combined results to be sent to the ACTA office one week prior to the Nationals. Selection Criteria: The eligible State 12g Titles are: NT, NSW, Qld and Tas for 2013 and Vic, WA and SA in 2015. The two combined State scores are then added to your targets from the National Skeet Championships, all events except Skeet Doubles (total of 450 targets) totalling a score out of 650 targets.
