Updated Planning Application for Nursery Site District Neighbourhood Centre GWP - P17/V0762/RM

Please leave further comments on the Facebook page, email chairperson@gwpra.org.uk or respond directly to the Council via their website.

Updated information:

  • It seems that a mini bus can be turned around in the car park but it

is still a single entry carpark with 3 staff spaces and 8 drop off only. This has to be very inadequate and will likely cause inconvenience for residents in the area. It is noted that the applicant is not providing an additional travel plan, stating reliance on the original one for GWP, which has proved to be flawed particularly with regard to parking. The Great Western Park Residents’ Association supports the planning application for the provision of a Nursery, with the previous comments and observations still all applying

Planning Consultation - Parcel SN03A and SN03BCD of GWP . - P15/S3338/RM

The application covers the Parcel SN03A and SN03BCD of Great Western Park consisting of the erection of 299 dwellings, landscaping, estate roads and associated infrastructure. This is the far South East of the GWP development.

Please leave comments on the Facebook page, email chairperson@gwpra.org.uk or respond directly to the Council via their website.

Planning Application: Playing Fields (Area W) Southern Neighbourhood GWP - P17/S1450/RM

This application covers the area surrounding but not including the Southern Neighbourhood Community Centre. It consists of a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), Playing Pitch and two wet areas.

Please leave further comments on the Facebook page, email chairperson@gwpra.org.uk or respond directly to the Council via their website.

The following are initial comments:

  • The wet area is directly behind the pitch goals, has consideration been

given to suitable fencing to prevent balls and children entering the wet areas.

  • Will there be lighting for the MUGA.
  • The single timber picnic bench is noted central east of the plan. It would

be more advantageous to have a cluster of 3-5 of these in this area for picnics.

  • Consideration for an additional Combined Dog and litter waste bin should

be located towards the north of the area.

The Arts Development Officer is keen to progress this project and contacting bus company, are we in agreement that:

  • Current boards in poor locations and state
  • Maps are essential for the new estate (lost delivery drivers and

friends)

  • Artistic solution will be visually impressive compared to functional
  • This is a desired use of Arts capability by GWP Residents
