RAs are student staff members whom are expected to play a variety of  constantly changing roles and are responsible for creating and maintaining a residential environment that is conducive to living and learning.  Each RA must be flexible and creative in meeting the residents’ needs by serving as a:  role model  mediator  university resource  advisor  community developer  programmer  educator  mentor  friend

Benefits 2015-16 Benefits Residence Halls UTA Apartments Remuneration Paycheck: $452/month* Paycheck: $652/month* Rent Arlington, Vandergriff, & KC Hall - 45% rental reduction Arlington Double Rate minus $500 for the year East and West Campus - 1 bed/1 bath, unfurnished Brazos, Lipscomb, & Trinity - Brazos The Heights – eff./1bath, fully Double Rate furnished Ability to choose a roommate Receive private without 1.7x rental upgrade Value of discount: Value of discount: $288 - $387/month $192 - $340/month Meal Plan Scholarship for Bronze No meal plan Value: $330/month** Compensated only when University is open – adjusted for partial work months & holidays ** Based on 10 months of employment 2017-18 benefits have not yet been decided

At 1 RA on call per night least 1 Primary and in some communities 1 Secondary as well per shift Rounds 3 times per week (Thursday- 2 times per night Sunday) – East & West Campus Nightly – HOP Other Plan events Weekly staff meetings / one-on-one meetings Know your community and residents; visibility Committee participation Bulletin boards

  8. Employment Dates UTA Apartments and Residence Halls:  January 2017 – May 2017 *Any Winter courses taken must be UTA courses. NON-UTA Courses CANNOT conflict with RA training.* *will have opportunity to indicate on Supplemental Application if you are interested in starting earlier, if a position becomes available and you are interested

Requirements for Application  Live on Requirement:  2 semesters of living on campus by December 2016  UTA residence hall or UTA on-campus apartment or Centennial Court  GPA Requirement:  2.50 Cumulative GPA at Application  Disciplinary Status Requirement:  In “Good Standing” with the Office of Community Standards and Apartment & Residence Life  Rent and Fees:  Rent and Meal Plan paid and current
