Award Information  The NIH, via support from the FDA Center for Tobacco Products (CTP), intends to fund up to 10 applications, totaling up to $3 million for fiscal year 2016  Applicants may request up to $300,000 direct costs, per budget year  Applicants may request a project period of up to 3 years  Foreign institutions and non-domestic components of US organizations are eligible to apply. Foreign components are allowable

  3. Award Information  Letters of Intent are due on October 13, 2015  Earliest possible start date will be July 2016  Awards will include a special term, requiring a separate interim progress report at the six month portion of each budget year  Reminders:  FDA-funded awards do not have carryover authority; therefore, a prior approval request must be submitted for situations where there is a bona fide need
