A group of 40+ individuals representing constituencies from all across our school community.
THE WORK OF THE TASK FORCE PREPARED US TO RESPOND TO THE NYSED GUIDANCE
The 145-page document required responses to 14 separate sections.
BUILDING PRACTICES
- School supplies (posted on WMS website)
- Arrival ( 3 points of entrance, large gathering areas)
- Scheduling ( “Cohort” Model/ A-K, L-Z)
- Change of Classes ( No Bells, Increase Passing
Time/stagger, No lockers)
- Lunch ( use of cafeteria, cohorts/strands, alternate
areas if needed)
- Recess (outside if weather permitting, alternate
areas)
- Dismissal (staggered dismissal)
- Bathroom Use ( One at a time)

ATTENDANCE AND CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM
Attendance will be monitored and recorded in ALL modes of instruction per the District attendance policy. Chronic absenteeism will be reported to administration and/or PPS staff.

TECHNOLOGY AND CONNECTIVITY
▪ Access to Internet and devices will be provided based on responses to the enrollment survey. ▪ Expanded 1:1 device program for all students in grades 5-12. Additional devices will be available for those who need in grades P-4. ▪ Instructional and outdoor areas outfitted with technology. ▪ Students who are learning remotely will be able to access a live stream of the classroom.
