As a senior next year, what are your plans for College Credit?

Upcoming seniors have two options DUAL ENROLLMENT OR EARLY ADMISSION

NOTE: With either option, Harvest requires that seniors be enrolled in a

combination of 5 courses between Harvest and FSCJ including Bible Also with either option, you must have met Math eligibility scores to ensure compliance with the 12 credit rule.

Dual Enrollment vs. Early Admission

Dual Enrollment

Seniors can take up to 2 DE courses on the college campus and up to 2 DE courses on the Harvest campus

Details on the next few slides.

Early Admission

Seniors are considered

full-time college students and must take 12-15 credit hours at FSCJ while taking Bible at Harvest

NOTE:

We have a special arrangement with FSCJ to allow our EA seniors to also take a fine art at Harvest if they wish

Seniors can continue in a normal dual enrollment capacity taking up to 2 DE courses on the college campus or on-line and up to 2 DE courses at Harvest Harvest requires that students have a minimum 2.5 college gpa to continue in dual enrollment process

Early Admissions

for Seniors only!

Rising seniors may qualify for Early Admissions for the Fall and/or Spring semesters of their senior year. Eligible students are required to enroll in 12 -15 credit hours on the college campus during Early Admission semesters. Seniors must have a 3.25 unweighted cumulative GPA on the high school transcript to be eligible for Early Admission.

Early Admission seniors can take only Bible and Fine Arts on the

Harvest campus during Early Admission semesters.

Note: A senior may Early Admit only one semester if desired

There are no additional fees for Early Admissions.

College Courses Offered at Harvest

1st semester: ENC1101 - English Composition I EUH1000 - Western Civilization MAN2021 Principles of Management (proposed) 2nd semester: LIT2000 - Intro to Literature EUH1001 – Western Civilization SLS1103 - Student Life Success BSC1005L – Biological science with a lab (proposed)

GEB1001 Introduction to Business (proposed)

Note: These courses that will appear on the FSCJ and Harvest transcripts.

The Registration Process

Submit Application

Signed by Parent (EA requires this), Student & Harvest Guidance 1st choice classes listed in pencil 2nd & 3rd choices copy and pasted on a separate piece of paper Submit to Harvest guidance for approval

Registration Dates

Summer registration – have forms along with 2nd/3rd choice request to Mrs Charles March 27-31 Fall registration – have forms along with 2nd/3rd choice request to Mrs Charles April 25-27

Permission to Re-register form (taking 1 or 2)

This registration form is for students who have dual enrolled before and only want to take up to two courses on the FSCJ campus or

  • n-line.

The only time a 3rd course would be considered is when a science lab is taken during the same semester as the science course.

Early Admission Program form (taking 4 or 5)

Use this form if you are a senior and want to take 12 - 15 credits at the FSCJ campus or on-line.

Carefully complete registration forms in blue or black ink,

except for the course requests which should be WR WRITTEN TTEN IN PEN ENCIL

One Day Registration

Classes go on-line about one month before registration Review classes early and have an idea of what courses you need to meet diploma requirements.

Schedule a meeting with Mrs Charles if you are not sure what to take!

Miscellaneous Items

ALL courses must be registered or changed through the Harvest guidance office. DO NOT ENROLL, DROP or ADD

CLASSES ON YOUR OWN through the Connections Acct!

You may attend college courses on any FSCJ campus BEWARE of Withdrawing or Failing a course. Grades stay on your college transcript, forever!

NOTE: If you get into a class that feels overwhelming, DROP within the first week.

After the first week, it is listed as a 'W' withdraw on your college and high school transcripts. 2 'W's will make you ineligible for future dual enrollment

There is a one-time membership fee of $25 before you can request your college transcript to be sent anywhere There is NO charge for future registrations at FSCJ

Paying your Membership Fee

Www.fscj.edu go to your Connections account in the Quick Links on the left select Finance select Details select Pay On-line choose Payment Type click Pay My Balance button There may be additional fees listed, but only pay $25. Consider yourself blessed because all the other fees listed are what you are saving this semester by dual enrolling.
