Mission/Vision

 Fort Bend Seniors is committed to helping seniors

remain independent by enhancing their quality of life through services and resources.

 Vision Statement: Fort Bend Seniors will assist

each senior citizen to achieve their independence.

The History of FBS

 Organized in 1974, Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels

(FBS)

 By 1976, the program became a non-profit  1981, Fort Bend Seniors joined the United Way of Texas

Gulf Coast and was able to leverage additional dollars.

 1990 – Took over the management of the senior program in

Waller County at the request of the Houston-Galveston Area Council Area Agency on Aging and United Way

 Fort Bend Seniors is the only organization that provides

Meals on Wheels to all persons over 60 years of age regardless of income.

 As We Successfully Celebrate 40 years  Serving seniors in Waller and Fort Bend County  10 senior congregate sites  2 major distribution sites – home delivered meals

with several drop off sites

Eligibility

 Senior Center – 60 years of age  In-Home Services- 60 years of age and
