Setting Up a Steering Committee – Members Regional vs. Local Steering • Executive Leader • Project Leader • Clinical Director • Quality Improvement Representative • Finance Representative • Frontline Leaders • Interdisciplinary Members • BCNU
Steering Committee – Responsibilities • Meet monthly to: ₋ Review progress ₋ Offer direction, expertise & support ₋ Maintain forward momentum • Assist with communications • Help with barriers • Participate in audits • Visit the unit regularly
Communications Plan • Vital to success • Nothing beats face-to-face! • Consider the following: ₋ Who needs to know? ₋ Why do you want them to know? ₋ How will this affect them? ₋ Do you need their help? ₋ What is your plan for communicating with all stakeholders?
