Update on MALG briefing notes on data protection

  • Scoped by Chris Fitch from the University of Bristol
  • The MALG Briefing Notes 4 and 5 need to be replaced by a single

piece of new guidance on data protection and vulnerability

  • The guidance will be prepared for Creditors and Debt Advice Orgs and

will incorporate guidelines on processing data from individuals with mental health problems under the Data Protection Act

  • The new Guidance on Data Protection and Vulnerability is planned to

be launched in May / June 2020
