The BA in Adult Education is designed to serve:

120 credits for a BA at UFV Up to 90 credits can be transferred from other post-
secondary studies (e.g., degree, diploma programs)
ADED BA: UP to 45 BLOCK credits can be applied to lower
level credits OR electives
BLOCK credits awarded through competency-based
PORTFOLIO assessment
Complete ADED 305 on portfolio preparation Prepare a portfolio identifying competencies with evidence Pay for 75% of 12 credits (= 9 credits) Request up to 45 credits
B.C. Settlement Worker – 36 credits Special Ed Ass’t and small business owner – 30 credits HR – Health & Safety Trainer & consultant – 35 credits
This certificate is designed for students who wish to gain a credential in Adult Education other than a 4-year degree.
The FOUR (3-credit) AEWT certificate courses are:
ADED 320 Adult Learning ADED 340 Program Planning and Evaluation ADED 407 Organizational & Workplace Learning ADED 408 Assessing Adult Learning
All four courses are part of the UFV degree in Adult Education and your courses will transfer to the degree should you wish to pursue the degree at a later date.

Instructional Design & Facilitation (IDAF) – 12 credits PLAR Professional – 12 credits (4 courses)

General requirements
1. Applicants must have completed the equivalent of
Canadian Grade 12 for admission to all academic programs.
2. English language proficiency requirements Students already enrolled at UFV are only required to meet
the course prerequisites.
The courses follow UFV’s fee schedule currently set at $433.53 for a 3 credit course. Books and materials are extra.
