What is purple parade? → Arsh → It is a large annual gathering in Singapore → Meant to represent the disabled community and those with special needs in Singapore →Connects society through many different manners 2
THE PURPLE PARADE is a unifying national platform to promote awareness and celebrate abilities of persons with special needs. The core of The Purple Parade movement is to ensure that people with special needs are included in the main chapter of Singapore’s growth and have equal access to education, employment, transport and social networks. 3

What do they do? → Iona → Within the parade, there is a campaign, a contingent and a concert → They sell products made by those of the disabled community → Enjoy unique foods and drinks → Bond over interactive games and activities 5
Why do they do this? → Thys - As it is a unifying national platform to promote awareness and celebrate abilities of persons with special needs. - Ensure people of special needs are included in the chapter of singapores development - Special needs community to be fully included 6
When does this take place? → Adil/Ananya → The first purple parade was in 2013 → This year the parade took place on November the 2nd in Suntec city → This year was their 7th year 7
