  • Landowners submit petition to KCRC requesting

improvement with signatures of more than 51% of

  • wners of lineal frontage of lands within district

Township Approach

  • Township Board submits resolution to KCRC

requesting improvement

 Accept Resolution/Petition  After determining proposed improvement necessary,

make Declaration of Necessity

 Hold Public Hearing on Declaration of Necessity at

Township Hall

 If no objection, KCRC obtains specifications, surveys,

and cost estimates

 Make First Order of Determination  Hold Public Hearing on Objections (establish SAD

and assessments)

 Make Final Order of Determination  KCRC proceeds to let contracts for project
