COMPREHENSIVE STREET PLAN • City Council adopted plan for maintaining our streets and alley system. • New Brighton has about 64 miles of streets and alleys. • Streets are rehabilitated about every 25 to 30 years. • Rehabilitate about 2.1 miles per year. • Rehabilitate on a neighborhood basis to minimize disruption.

  5. STREET IMPROVEMENTS • 0.86 miles of streets in project corridor • Last rehabilitated in 1990 • Streets to be constructed to their original width • Remove and replace bituminous pavement and base material • Replace broken and settled curb and gutter • Pedestrian ramp ADA upgrades

  6. WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS • Watermain is C.I.P. with a low break frequency; will not be replaced • 10 hydrants will be replaced based on age and no longer producing parts for repairs

  7. STORM SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS • Replace 7 existing block‐built structures with precast concrete structures • Remove catch basin from driveway (Eastman Dr/Robin Ln) • Flex Seal 14 catch basins • Replace existing grates on 6 catch basins

  8. SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS • Sewer mains televised. No issues found requiring open cutting of street • Flex Seal 16 manholes
