How many of you have ever heard of a PLC? How many of you are required to be part of a PLC or other educator collaboration group? How many of you are getting what you need from your PLC?

Being a speech and debate teacher is a lonely job. Even at large high schools, there is usually just one teacher in that field

• - you -- so collaboration and sharing materials requires you to leave

your school building. Having so many fellow Lone Rangers in one place makes sharing ideas, methods, materials much much easier. It's ironic that we who teach communication often have no one else to talk to about our fields. These conferences create conversations that create more education.
