e-EVALINTO is intended to reduce early school leaving (objective) in young students with migrant background (target group) through a prevention and early intervention strategy (need) based on peer mentoring actions

e-EVALINTO is intended to develop an ICT framework (objective) for assessing, managing and developing activities for intercultural contexts (target group), with particular focus to taking decision processes (need) and identification of different patterns that may be induced from the variety of potential situations to be analysed.

Partner leader Universidad de Salamanca Timing M1 – M7 Objective To state the theoretical and methodological foundations for the later development of the technological environment (O2), the activities to be carried out during the pilots and the training program design (O3). Main activities

  • O1 A1: Theoretical and methodological framework for peer tutoring

activities in intercultural contexts.

  • O1 A2: Definition of a set of competencies for teachers, mentors

(peer students) and mentees (migrants).

  • O1 A3: Diagnostic indicators for evaluating the situation of a school

with regard to interculturality, identifying students at risk and potential peers to act as mentors

  • O1 A4: Patterns for the development of different mentoring and

counseling activity plans.

Partner leader Universidad de Cádiz Timing M4 – M24 Objective To develop an educational portal, which will offer to schools and teachers a complete set of tools and activities to manage the implementation of the intercultural mentoring programme with their students. Main activities

Design and implementation of the Virtual environment based on open source solutions.

  • O2 A2: e-EVALINTO evaluation tools.
  • O2 A3: e-EVALINTO environment user manual and tutorials.

Intellectual Output 3: e-EVALINTO Training Programme Design Partner leader Dublin City University Timing M5 – M10 Objective To design a training programme for teachers and school staff, who deals with intercultural and social inclusion issues. Main activities

  • O3 A1 Contents design.

It will include a curriculum and OERs in order to train secondary school teachers to be able to interact with the e- EVALINTO portal and its tools and to apply them at school.
