SACO BIDDEFORD OPIATE OUTREACH INITIATIVE

• SBOOI is a collaborative effort with Saco and Biddeford, both Police

Departments, CHCC, and SMHC.

• Grant was awarded by the State of Maine Department of Public Safety

in October 2016.

• Goals of the SBOOI Coordinator position:
• Provide training, support, and resources for families;
• Reduce the number of overdoses;
• Connect users to treatment services; and
• Create a community that supports long-term recovery from

addiction
