COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

  • Contributed $100,000 to fund a housing study to be conducted by The Port as well as $50,000 for a community engagement

consultant to conduct neighborhood outreach.

  • Established a Community Fund to allocate $100,000 per year for programming and community building activities in the West End.

Disbursed $100,000 in 2018, the first of FCC’s annual contribution for immediate housing needs in the West End.

  • Will contribute (before June 1, 2019) $20,000 to MORT

AR for use with West End residents in its entrepreneurship program.

  • Organized two West End Y
  • uth Soccer teams, the first ever in the neighborhood.
  • Provided funds for new

, safer helmets, pads and uniforms for the 115+ member “Lil’ Senators” youth football teams.

  • Creating (in process) of a First Source Hiring Program to employ West End residents, previously incarcerated individuals and lowincome

individuals living in the City of Cincinnati.

  • Partnered with the African American Chamber of Commerce and an inclusion expert to reach the Port’s inclusion goals.
  • Adopted preferences for supplier diversity and hiring from the West End.
  • Adopting community protections for traffic, security

, beautification as well as created a public complaint process.

  • If adopted by the West End Community Council, FCC will provide $10,000 in funding for a residential parking permit program.
  • FC Cincinnati has participated in the first West End Business Alliance fair

, EzzFest, held special events for youth and FCC players at the Lindner Y and supported financial literacy efforts.

  • In 2019, the FC Cincinnati Foundation Club Ambassador Program will start at Hays Porter and Saint Joseph schools. Each schoolwill

receive six visits with FCC alumni player Omar Cummings who will lead soccer drills and programs during gym classes.

  • FC Cincinnati provided a detailed presentation to neighbors, the same presentation given to the West End Community Council

  • FCC also committed to provide expanded academic, athletic, internship and employment opportunities for CPS students.
