  • Intent is to Modernize the Ordinance into a Functional Drainage

Ordinance with Internal and External Stakeholder Support that:

  • Reflects the desired County balance between the promulgation of

practical, modern-day drainage regulations that are also complimentary to County economic development initiatives;

  • Maintain or reduce flood insurance costs for County residents;
  • Enhance County property values;
  • Reduce County mitigation costs; and,
  • Yield greater continuity and consistency in the administration of the

Drainage Ordinance in the County’s development review process.

  • Creating a simplified ordinance that is easier to understand, administer,

and enforce.
