  2. UF Physical Security • Established in December 2018 as a result of consultant report which identified areas for improvement • Transferred Team from RM-IT in Facilities (formerly PPD-IT) • Goal is “One UF” for all things Physical Security

Responsibilities • Responsible for physical security technology including: • Security cameras and recordings • Automated Access Controls – card readers • Alarm Systems – standalone and through Access Control (Lenel) • Supported by $30M budget for enhancements • Security Technology • Increased Staffing (UPD and Security) • UPD Training and Certifications (CPTED) • UF Alert • Police Building Renovation (Dispatch, EOC and Security) • Enhanced Lighting – Campus Safe Walk

UF Physical Security • Short-term goal – By end of this Fiscal Year • Physical Security Staffing increase • Building 429 renovation • Establish University Regulations, Policies and Procedures covering • General Requirements for UF Physical Security Technology • New Construction Standards • Maintenance • Appropriate Use of Systems • End-User Training • Establish Lenel Access Control System – as the campus standard, using Gator 1 Card • Establish Genetec Video Management Software (VMS) – as the campus standard for security camera monitoring • Centralized Portal for all security cameras • Make accessible to UF Police • Begin Campus Upgrades for access controls and cameras

UF Physical Security • Long-Term Goal – 2-5 years • Lenel Access Control System • On perimeters of buildings • Upgraded Gator 1 Card • Security cameras • On all building perimeters and entrances • Recordings managed by Genetec Video Management Software • Centralize storage • Meet minimum 30-day required retention • Make accessible to UF Police • Eliminate web cameras or other disparate cameras systems • License Plate Recognition/Reader (LPR) Cameras • To cover perimeter of main campus • Early detection of stolen vehicles/vehicles of interest • Force-Multiplier for UPD • Construction of a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) • In revised Police Building (Centrex) • Live Monitoring of Security Systems to support Dispatch

Current T Technol ology ogy Card Readers: 2,414 on 116 buildings Cameras: 977 in 59 Buildings 447 additional buildings require card readers and cameras Adding: 1,756 readers 1,950 cameras Blue-Access control only Orange-Cameras only Green-Access Control & cameras Yellow-Exterior cameras Exterior cameras are denoted in black/red circles.
