To create an app that will allow students and faculty to order food from Common Thread Express on their mobile devices and view the weekly menus from the main kitchen. The mission is to offer the PhilaU community a dining experience in which they can grab a quick bite to eat throughout the day. Common Thread is a dining area that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner for the Philadelphia University community. There is currently an

Brittany is a junior fashion design student at PhilaU. She spends a lot of time in the sewing lab at Hayward Hall and uses her phone to listen to music while working. She usually gets something to eat from Kanbar throughout the day and has a 10-day meal plan so that she can grab something to eat in between classes. She prefers to use Common Thread Express around lunch time so that she does not have wait in the lunch crowd to get food. However, she has to leave the studio and go
she goes to Common Thread for dinner if she is still in the sewing lab and would like to know what the menu choices are without having to go on a computer and navigate through the PhilaU website.
Matt is a freshman business student and plays baseball at
much time to get a meal during the day. Since most of his classes are on main campus and he has to go to practice right after, he usually goes to Kanbar to get a meal. He goes to Common Thread Express for lunch and if he cannot make it to a computer, he tries to go in early before his class to place an
sandwich since it is an easy meal to eat on the go and he uses his meal plan. He would like to get meals from the main kitchen but he knows that he will not have enough time to stand in line and wait for his food.
Professor Scott teaches Graphic Design classes at PhilaU. She constantly uses her phone between classes to keep up with her small business and teaches studio classes that run 2-5 hours long. She does not like waiting in line to get her food so she usually goes online to Common Thread Express to place her order so that she can be in and out of Kanbar and get back to her grading. Professor Scott usually orders the same 3 foods:chicken sandwiches, pizza, or wraps and wishes there was a way to save her orders. She uses her faculty/staff declining bonus money or her credit card.
Currently there is an online site where students and faculty can place an order for the Common Thread Express, but they have to navigate through the PhilaU site to get to this point. Also if people would like to know what choices are in the main kitchen area they also have to go through the PhilaU site to access the
