RH Program: Project Promotion

The Project Promotion Requirement is asking the certified service provider to ALSO evaluate health promotion at the program level.

  • How do you engage individuals accessing your services?
  • How do you engage new/potential clients?

Examples of where and how this promotion might happen are at places like schools, or activities such as tabling at health fairs etc. The Project Promotion Requirement (that must be followed by RH Program certified service providers) is about the provider promoting their services and providing education to the community.

History of PE 46

  • PE 46, entitled ‘Community Participation and Assurance of Access

to Reproductive Health Services’ was developed in collaboration with members of the Conference of Local Health Officials (CLHO) and approved in February 2018.

  • The funding for PE 46 comes from the RH Program’s Title X grant

and is based on a new formula that incorporates many factors, including: county population, non-white population, limited English proficiency, urban/rural, Chlamydia rates, and Women in Need.
